The Livestock Section For the first time since 1997 the time is right to announce "Pig classes are back", on Saturday 28th at 10am come and see the marvel of pigs back in the judging ring. PLease download the Shedules below. There will be traditional and modern breeds of pigs such as the familiar Gloucester Old Spot going through their paces including a young handlers class and obstacle course. Livestock Sheep Schedule - (right click and save as) - Livestock Pig Schedule We will have a full display of rare breedlivestock including pigs, sheep and cattle, both dairy and beef as well as our excellent display of very rare poultry.
The highlight of the livestock being competitive classes on Sunday in the judging ring followed by a main arena grand parade and presentation of cups by our President in the afternoon, a full schedule can be downloaded below. We also have some alpackers this year too. Heathrow Special Needs farm will be back again this year with small animal to pet, rabbits, guinea pigs and ducks, they will also be running pony rides for small children at a nominal cost. Egham Royal Show areproud to present by kind sponsorship of Surrey County Council the story of milk, from the field to the fridge. This is an interactive exhibition that we have previously toured with this summer appearing at Carnival Capers and Chertsey show too. There will be an interactive exhibition, milking demonstration, a model cow for children to hand milk and associated produce to sample. This will help people of all ages understand where our local dairy produce comes from in an informative and engaging manor.
