Many duties are required to be completed prior to the show from erecting pedestrian walkways to positioning tables and chairs around the showground. Also the grass is given a rough cut prior to the event but in certain areas, such as inside the marquees, the grass must be cut shorter. This is the sort of work that must be done and the adage ‘many hands make light work’ is so true.  If you can spare even just a couple of hours I would be most grateful.

It’s not just the 2 days of the show where assistance is wanted. Apart from the many meetings held all year round to make the show the wonderful event it is, the show organising starts about 2 weeks before and then finishes about a week after the bank holiday weekend. The Egham Royal Show is looking for volunteers to assist the Show Manager, John Bonnett to get the showground in order and assist with various duties over about a 3 week period starting 15th August and ending around 5th September.

You don’t have to do 3 weeks solid, just a few hours here and there will make John’s life much easier!
