|
The Tricky Tykes Terrier Racing Team are the U.Ks premier terrier racing team attracting much press & TV coverage..particularly popular with the thousands who attend Crufts & other National Shows The ‘Tykes’ are a brat pack of little dogs, mostly terriers, who enthusiastically give their all in the pursuit of a mechanically propelled lure, as they demonstrate to crowds the length and breadth of the British Isles, the age old Country Sport of Terrier Racing. (Well, that’s the intention!). Their principle trade mark is to create chaos, laughter and mayhem where ever they go.
The ‘Team’, are presented by Lyn Moran and John Goddard-Fenwick, and were first formed in the early 90's.. All of the terriers are owned by the Team Leaders, and therefore they are at ease with each other, which means that all their energy is directed to ‘getting that lure'. In their first year they won a prestigious ‘Arena Display Team’ Award at the Showman’s Show in Newbury, and haven’t looked back since.! The public just can’t seem to get enough of their antics! They have made hundreds of appearances all over the British Isles, and shows have invited them back again and again by public demand. As another organiser said recently
‘THE TRICKY TYKES MAY BE COPIED BUT NEVER EVER BETTERED’
