Sustainability

Egham Royal Show over the years has now developed a into a joint Agricultural, Horticultural and Community based event, this is a natural progression of the times in which we live.

We believe that for 2012 we would like to add another dimension to the show, that of Sustainability.

By this we mean giving our visitors the chance to learn and talk about the various developments taking place in the need to reduce our collective carbon foot prints.

To this end we would like to have a number of exhibits displaying and able to constructively inform visitors about the various things we can all do to help.

We would envisage elements such as, wind energy, solar power, recycling, both water and waste, hybrid and alternate fuel cars and vans etc.

To make this Zone a success we would love to hear from anyone who would like to be involved in this most exciting area, such as companies and organisations who might like to exhibit and be involved, to a person who can drive this concept forward to fruition, in tandem with the show committee

If you feel you might have the time and commitment to help this area of show, please initially contact Jerry Brownlee our Vice Chairman via the site email. Hope to hear from you!
