Livestock, What's on 2011

Saturday:

Rare, traditional and modern breeds of pig classes from 10 am in the pig ring including sow and litter, gilts and boars.

Dexter cattle classes will be judged from 10 am in the cattle ring including heifers, cows with calves, steers and bulls.

There will be an exhibition of rare breed sheep, poultry and rabbits, ducks and guinea pigs & Alpaca

Sunday:

Rare, minority and traditional breed sheep classes will be judged in the sheep ring from 10 am.

There will be an exhibition of pigs including Sow & litter & gilts, Dexter cattle, poultry and rabbits, ducks and guinea pigs & Alpaca.

Also:

The story of milk exhibitions, wooden have-a-go cows for kids to milk and Dairy Crest’s free milk sample for kids to take away.

Cattle parade around 3 pm Saturday, Sheep parade on Sununday around 3 pm.

Live commentary, and child handler pig and sheep classes at the end of pig and sheep judging, prizes to be awarded. This is a free entry class.
Meet the pig (all being well) will take palce on Saturday afternoon, a chance for kids to get up close to the sow & litter in pig ring.
