The vintage and classic vehicle section had 200 entrants over the weekend. On display were interesting and unusual cars, motorcycles and historic commercials – we also had a small selection of custom cars too.
The entries ranged from a British built 1927 Austin 7 to an American built 1932 Hupmobile that the public choose as their best in show Saturday. A 1960's Chevrolet Impala was chosen by the public as best in show Sunday. Interesting to see the public’s choice being American produced cars. All of the vehicles were presented to a very high standard so my team of judges had to work really hard deciding on the winners.
On both days of the show the vehicles paraded around the main ring where a commentary was given and prizes handed out to the winners.
Each entrant also received a commemorative brass plaque - these were kindly sponsored by Gemini Taxis of Egham. Also displaying in the vintage and classic vehicle section were traders selling auto-jumble and specialist model cars.
